Hericium erinaceus, also popularly known as Lion’s Mane, is a mushroom native to North America, Europe, and Asia, and cultivated worldwide. It has been used for millennia as a medicinal food in traditional Chinese medicine and other ancestral practices. Due to the presence of unique polysaccharides and other nutrients, this nutritious mushroom offers a wide range of health benefits. It is the only known nootropic mushroom. The two most well-known benefits associated with its consumption are the potential ability to prevent or protect against the spread of neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. Cultivation

This mushroom is recommended for those with some cultivation experience. It is sensitive to large temperature fluctuations, especially in warm regions. It prefers mild climates and develops well up to 25ºC. Its growth is slow, but this is compensated by very dense and succulent fruits. It is cultivated in sawdust blocks enriched with bran.
