History

One of the most robust strains available, it’s a wonderful fruiter with very rhizomorphic mycelium. Dense fruits with thick, fleshy stems reach heights over 12 cm, with caps (pileus) usually opening to about 5 cm in diameter. Golden cap (hence the name). The fruits are not as abundant as in other strains, but their size makes up for it in dry weight. The second and third flushes can be huge, often peaking around 22 cm. Colonization and fruiting may be slightly slower than other strains. Excellent strain in terms of performance and potency. Dark spore depositor. The strain’s origin is unknown but was probably collected in the Gulf region of the USA. It has been on the strain market for a long time and is one of the best-selling strains among various suppliers.

Cultivation

Excellent for beginners, as it’s very resilient. Medium to large fruits.

Usually produces abundant harvests over multiple flushes and is also an excellent spore depositor.
