History:

This strain was initially sold by many spore companies as an easy-fruiting Psilocybe azurescens variety or as an azurescens/cubensis hybrid. But such claims are just marketing. B+ is a Psilocybe cubensis strain. According to John Allen, the creator of the strain was Mr. G.

It’s still highly sought after due to its large fruits, some reaching up to 35cm in length. It’s one of the most popular strains in history. Compared to other PC strains, B+ is generally considered a giant.

Cultivation

This strain is recommended for beginners because it’s very easy to cultivate and fruits quickly, not requiring cold-shock. It seems to withstand temperature and environmental variations well. It’s well-domesticated and a good candidate for multi-spore inoculation. High-yielding strain. Fast colonization and fruiting speed. Extremely aggressive and fast-growing mycelium.
